Players in-form

After a mid-week 6-0 thumping over Doncaster Rovers, Ipswich fans will be hoping their fortunes have finally turned. After 19 summer signings, many had Town down for promotion but have start poorly so far this season and find themselves down in 19th after 9 games. Midfielder Lee Evans, a summer transfer, was in inspired form against Doncaster, scoring a hattrick and causing havoc in the middle of the park, Evans picked up an 8.32 for his performance. Another Town signing who’s been worth his weight in goals has been loanee Macauley Bonne, the forward has 7 goals in 8 appearances for the Blues, grabbing 2 in the 6-0 victory and a 7.98 for his efforts.

Another big winner from the mid-week action was Oxford United, beating Accrington 5-1, Nathan Holland has been in excellent form at the start of this campaign, tied 3rd for the highest rating across the whole of League One with a 7.65 on average, Holland was involved heavily once again for Oxford, scoring twice and grabbing an assist in their thrashing over Accrington.

League leaders Sunderland is unbeaten in their last 5 with just 1 draw in that time too, a 5-0 demolition of Cheltenham mid-week showed the Black Cats aren’t letting up anytime soon. Ross Stewart up-front has been banging them in form fun, scoring 7 so far, he’s also Sunderland highest rated player this season, with a 7.02 overall, picking up a 7.48 for his mid-week showing.
