Players In-Form
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has scored an 8.65 and 9.11 in his last two outings. He’s the league’s joint top goal scorer with seven and has four assists to his name. The Egyptian has been in magical form so far this campaign scoring fantastic solo efforts versus Manchester City and Watford that has put him in the conversation regarding the best player in the world. And surely based on current form alone, he is. Jurgen Klopp’s side are the only team left undefeated and Salah will be a key man as Liverpool look to extend that run at the home of their rivals, Old Trafford, on Sunday.
A few people have been questioning Leicester this season after a mediocre start but the 4-2 win over Man United and 4-3 win over Spartak Moscow in the Europa League will give Brendan Rodgers’ side a boost in confidence. Leicester have reverted back to the three man defence that served them so well last year and have seen an up turn in form as a result. However, one man has been firing all season for the Foxes and that’s Jamie Vardy. He’s level with Salah at the top of the scoring charts with seven and has rated above a 7.27 in four of the last five games.
Ever since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea the West London side have been one of the best defensive teams in the league. They’ve kept a league high of six clean sheets this season, and of course, Chelsea’s solid defensive shape and quality helps with that but goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, has been in inspired form. He’s made 25 saves this campaign, the fifth most in the Premier League. Last week in the 0-1 win over Brentford, Mendy made a number of astonishing saves to keep Chelsea ahead and he was undoubtedly man of the match. He averages a 7.00 across this season and scored a 7.98 for last week’s heroics.
Remember to rate your team this week to ensure your voice is heard!
