DERBY STUN BOURNEMOUTH

Fan First's Championship review from weekend beginning 19th of November featuring - Derby County and AFC Bournemouth

In a week where Derby were deducted a further nine points for breaching financial rules, the Rams stunned top of the league Bournemouth 3-2 as Fulham went top.

Derby’s win moved them up to zero points as manager, Wayne Rooney, refused to admit that relegation was inevitable. The Rams struck first when Jason Knight (7.48) scored early in the first half. However, Bournemouth led at the break via strikes from Dominic Solanke and Jaidon Anthony. But an inspired Derby fought back when Tom Lawrence equalised and then Lawrence, who earned at 7.98 rating scored a penalty to win the game. The Rams are fifteen points from safety and need more shock wins like that to stay in the division.

Another week, another Fulham win and another goal by Aleksandar Mitrovic. The Cottagers swept strugglers Barnsley aside with ease 4-1. The Serbian, fresh from sending his nation to the World Cup finals with a winning goal got the scoring going and earned a 7.98. Fulham’s class shone through with goals from Fabio Carvalho, Neeskens Kebano and Harry Wilson, who all scored a 7.48. That’s Marco Silva’s side seventh win in a row.

In an entertaining game at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, QPR defeated Luton 2-0. The West London side went ahead in an end to end first 45 minutes. Chris Willock chipped the goalkeeper to score. Willock rated at 7.48, he latched onto a great ball from Ilias Chair who scored a 8.65. QPR then secured victory when Charlie Austin headed in. Austin’s performance got a 8.65 as Mark Warburton’s side made it four unbeaten.
